You’re the Mockingjay. Go out, show them.
My name is Katniss Everdeen. I am seventeen years old. My home is District 12. I was in the Hunger Games. I escaped. The Capitol hates me.
She was one of the youngest tributes ever reaped in Hunger Games history and her agility with an axe resonates throughout Panem. Sly. Savage. Sangfroid. These are just a few of the adjectives tossed around to describe Mason, who’s known for disarming her victims by feigning weakness
Cinna has turned me into a mockingjay.
Lawrence’s parents — her dad owned a construction business; the two now run a summer day camp-were initially less than thrilled with their daughter’s decision to become an actress.
When Lawrence was 14, she persuaded them to let her spend the summer in New York City going on auditions. As summer came to an end, her parents wanted her to come back home already. In the midst of their arguments, Lawrence happened to see a newspaper story about a boy from Kentucky starring in a new movie called Little Manhattan. “I was like, ‘Look, see? He’s from Kentucky and he made it’ I can do it too!’ And, weirdly, it helped them accept that this is what I wanted to do.”
That boy was Josh Hutcherson. In a nifty twist of fate, he’ll play Peeta, Lawrence’s favorite character from the Hunger Games trilogy.

my heart just got shreded
Probably a huge factor as to why she is so close with Josh. Talk about fate. How beautiful.
CAN WE TALK ABOUT HOW IN THE FIRST ONE THEY’RE HOLDING HANDS TO MAKE AN IMPRESSION BUT IN THE SECOND ONE THEY’RE HOLDING HANDS FOR EACH OTHER
This crotch is on fiiiiiiiiireeeeee
Just look at her now though.
In the first movie, she was white as a sheet, with fake colours, hair and emotions.
She looks more natural in the second movie because Katniss and Peeta inspired her, and she felt close to them. Now that they’re being ripped away from her, she doesn’t love the Capitol enough to smile.
She’s burning with fear and anger and sorrow.
now this is what i call minor character development at it’s finest
I LITERALLY CANNOT JUST SCROLL PAST THIS POST IT’S PROBABLY THE TENTH TIME I’VE REBLOGGED IT TODAY NO JOKE
All the scenes with Effie talking about them going back into the game are heartbreaking. You see how much she has grown attached to them, to the point to where she loves them with all her heart.
This was so important. She was the shining example of the Capitol population’s ignorance, but now that she’s affected by the the slaughter of these kids she she’d The Hunger Games for the terror that they are.
